Slow Start for Android

1:30 PM -- It's been nine days, and Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) hasn't changed the mobile phone world yet. What gives?

Valleywag reported yesterday that pretty much nobody is developing on Google's Android platform. The blog got some responses from developers, but nothing that impressive.

And in a move that's meant to sound cool, but could be interpreted as desperation, Google says it'll pay up to $275,000 if you'll do something worthwhile with Android. (Yes, only six figures. It's not a moon shot.)
