Siemens Releases Q2 Results

BUDAPEST -- Siemens has more than held its own in an increasingly differentiated environment. In Q2 of the current fiscal year, the company (without Infineon) increased comparable net income 9%. New orders climbed 17% to EUR 21.9 billion and sales rose 8% to EUR 19.2 billion. Net income for the first six months totaled EUR 1.141 billion - an increase of 17% on a 15% growth in sales.

At Thursday's semiannual press conference in Budapest, Siemens President and CEO Dr. Heinrich v. Pierer stated: "We started out this fiscal year expecting earnings to grow faster than sales. We have achieved this for the first six months of the year."
