The appliance, which complements ServGate’s existing line of Security Gateways, allows scalability of both applications and Firewall/VPN performance, without removing the system from the rack. The EdgeForce is an industrial, 3-port security appliance tailored for small-to-medium sized businesses and enterprise RoBo (Remote Offices/Branch Offices) that foresee future growth within their network infrastructure and that require fast, reliable and flexible network security. The EdgeForce platform allows IT managers to configure the base unit with the performance and applications they currently want, while enabling them to easily upgrade to a higher performance module or application module later without removing the security gateway from the rack.
