SingTel has deployed Juniper Networks SDX Service Deployment System and E-series Broadband Services Routers

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Siemens and Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced that Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) has deployed Juniper Networks SDX Service Deployment System and E-series Broadband Services Routers to support the introduction of new premium IP services, including a new bandwidth on demand service. With the E-series and SDX, SingTel customers will be able to dynamically request and change their bandwidth metrics, throttling connection speeds from 125 Kbps up to as much as 25 Mbps.

'The SDX-300 enables us to offer a broad set of unique new services, such as on-demand bandwidth, without adding operational complexity to our network,'said Tan Seow Nguan, SingTel's Director of Network Systems Engineering. 'By automating the service provisioning process, the SDX-300 supports Singtel's efforts to give our valued customers greater control of their broadband experience. The combination of E-series infrastructure and SDX-300 automation opens an entirely new revenue stream for us, while ensuring our customers have access to unique and compelling services.'
