Singapore carrier deploys vendor’s NE5000E 1+2 router cluster system in its converged IP backbone network

SINGAPORE -- Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, announced that SingTel has successfully deployed Huawei’s NE5000E 1+2 router cluster system in the converged IP backbone network to simultaneously carry a rich variety of services, including VoIP, high-speed Internet (HSI), and IPTV services.

The patented resilient matrix and in-service hardware expansion (ISHE), two prominent features of Huawei’s NE5000E router cluster system, open up opportunities for seamless capacity expansion of router cluster systems and maximum protection of carriers’ investments. Additionally, Huawei’s NE5000E router cluster system is the industry’s most energy-efficient core router system with its unique designs of distributed power supply, highly-efficient power system, and cyclic heat dissipation.
