Under the terms of the manufacturing and distribution agreement, Redback's deal with Kisan will be initially focused on the Korean market.

"Redback has a great history with Korean carriers, such as Korea Telecom (KT) and Hanaro Telecom, deploying multi-service broadband networks based on Redback's SmartEdge family," said Simon Williams, vice president of sales and operations for Asia at Redback Networks. "Broadening our market reach throughout Korea is an excellent growth opportunity for the recently introduced SmartEdge 100. We're excited about this manufacturing and distribution partnership with Kisan initially focused on the Korean market."
