Riverstone Networks has appointed Noah D. Mesel as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Mesel, a seasoned expert in corporate governance and securities law, will be responsible for all legal matters, including developing policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of Riverstone's business practices. Prior to joining Riverstone, Mesel was Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Legato Systems, Inc., a Mountain View, California-based information protection and content management software company. There, he spearheaded the development of the company's corporate governance and compliance policies and implemented processes and practices to align Legato with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Previous to that, he was Corporate Counsel for the global voice outsourcing business of Lucent Technologies.
