Names former Cisco marketing director Steve Woo as VP of marketing and business development; names East and West coast sales directors

MENLO PARK, Calif. -- Riverhead Networks, provider of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection solutions, today announced the appointment of networking veteran Steve Woo to the position of vice president of marketing and business development. Woo joins the company from Cisco Systems where he was director of marketing. In addition, Riverhead has named two new sales directors: Seth Adler joins the company from Cisco as regional director of sales for the Eastern U.S.; and Chris Kelly, formerly with Universal Access Inc., joins Riverhead as regional director of sales for the Western U.S. Woo, a 20-year industry veteran will lead the market introduction of Riverhead's breakthrough security solution for service providers, hosting and data centers and large enterprises. He will be responsible for product management and marketing. Additionally, he will lead Riverhead's strategic partnering with leading network infrastructure and security solution and service vendors.Prior to Riverhead, Woo was director of marketing for the network management business unit at Cisco, where he led a product management and marketing team responsible for security, quality of service (QoS), and performance and traffic monitoring solutions. His team drove QoS from an emerging technology into mainstream deployment by Fortune 100 companies, and managed the creation of next generation security management tools.Seth Adler, an 18-year industry veteran, joins Riverhead from Cisco where he held the position of northeastern regional sales manager after the company purchased Pentacom, where he was vice president of North American sales.Chris Kelly comes to Riverhead Networks from leading the telecommunications infrastructure provider Universal Access Inc., where he was vice president of global development, responsible for initiating and overseeing mergers and acquisitions and initiating and managing partnerships with international and domestic service providers.Riverhead Networks Inc.
