(NASDAQ:RDCM), a leading network test and quality management solutions provider, today announced the integration of bi-directional trunk testing in its award-winning VoIP service quality monitoring solution. Integrating 105 test line capability in the Omni-Q gives telcos, IXCs, and enterprise network operators a one-source solution for end-to-end call quality and frequency testing of their next-generation network architectures. This innovation enables customers to test direct inward dialing (DID) and direct outward dialing (DOD) trunks using the same platform that monitors service quality over their Voice over IP networks. This capability is key to ensuring route connectivity between IP and TDM (time-division multiplexing) networks utilizing termination partners' 105 responder install bases.

This new and cost-effective capability is enabled by the cProbe, an integral component of the Omni-Q. The cProbe provides end-to-end call quality metrics over the public switched telephone network (PSTN) by initiating, terminating and objectively measuring the quality of test calls. cProbes now offer the additional capability of originating bi-directional 105 test calls to remote responders. 105 test call quality results are stored in the QManager, Omni-Q's centralized management server, which controls all Omni-Q probes.
