CARDIFF, U.K. -- Purple Sun today announces it is changing its name to epitiro and unveils a new corporate identity to accompany the new brand. The name “epitiro” derives from Ancient Greek meaning “to guard” or “watch over” and more accurately represents the company’s product offerings and strength of service.

epitiro provides network operators – such as ISPs, streaming companies, telcos and large corporations – with Customer Experience Management (CEM) services that monitor the quality of service delivered to Internet users. epitiro acts as the watch guard of Internet performance for its customers and its customers’ customers. Epitro’s CEM solution set includes: the iQoS agent which allows organisations to proactively monitor and improve the level of service to Internet users in real-time; SSP-I – the integrated reporting suite for streaming network and Internet service providers; and its flagship product ISP-I (pronounced “eye spy”) – the Internet industry's definitive CEM Monitoring service to monitor the availability and performance of Internet connections.

The new epitiro brand and corporate identity will also help the company communicate more easily with its international client base as it expands into new markets and geographical areas. As a company with global ambitions, the name epitiro was chosen for its Ancient Greek origins as it will be more accessible to non-English speakers.

epitiro has spent nearly £70,000 on rebranding activities, including a new corporate identity, logo and website, to achieve a fresh, contemporary new look.

Gavin Johns, Managing Director of epitiro said, “This rebrand marks our accomplishments in Internet performance and service monitoring. The new name – epitiro – more accurately communicates our company’s expertise and leadership in customer experience and network monitoring for network operators in the UK and worldwide. The new epitiro brand will reinforce our product offerings and strength of service as we expand into Europe. Our products can be used by any ISP, streaming company, telco and large corporation in the world.”
