CHICAGO -- Parrish Systems Inc., a Chicago-based voice-over-IP software company, has announced the release of EmSIP 2.0, an enhanced version of the company’s successful embedded SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) stack and user-agent software. The product powers end-user voice-over-IP devices by providing all the software to enable voice and advanced call features on those devices. EmSIP is designed for IP phones, multimedia terminal adaptors (MTAs) and PDA handheld devices. It also can be used in routers and in enterprise integrated access devices (IADs), which combine voice and data on one line, such as a T1.

“EmSIP 2.0 is a well-rounded SIP solution for embedded devices,” says Steve Parrish, chief scientist, Parrish Systems. “Its excellent conformance with critical industry standards means designers do not have to spend valuable time testing and retesting interoperability. Instead they can focus on creating exciting new products.”
