DENVER -- Optical Access, Inc., a designer and
supplier of optical wireless and IP switching and routing solutions,
announced the
availability of its gigabit-speed optical wireless system that enables
services providers and enterprises to easily deploy a cost effective,
high capacity solution for the
last mile.
The TereScope(TM) 1000G uses optical wireless technology, or free-space
laser systems, to transmit high capacity data communications from
point-to-point or in a
mesh topology. The system easily integrates into a Gigabit Ethernet
network infrastructure, accommodating data rates up to 1.25 Gbps full
duplex.
"With more than 4,000 TereScope links operating around the world, we
understand the kind of last-mile solutions customers are demanding, and
the availability of
the gigabit product meets their evolving needs," said Jim Goodman,
senior vice president of sales and marketing, Optical Access. "We will
continue to introduce
higher capacity, longer range optical wireless products that allow our
customers to deploy cost-effective, revenue-generating services."
