Southwestern ISP chooses net.com's SHOUT2500 Gateway for wholesale voice over IP

FREMONT, Calif. -- net.com (NYSE: NWK), a global provider of multiservice networking and service creation platforms, announced today that Northstar Telecommunications, Ltd. has selected net.com's SHOUT2500 as their platform of choice for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service. Northstar is an international telecommunications provider offering a wide range of broadband Internet and telephony services. Of particular appeal to Northstar was the reliability of the CDR (call detail record) collection inherent in net.com's SHOUTgate server. In addition, SHOUTIP's multiprotocol support and extensive interoperability with other manufacturers of VoIP gateways and gatekeepers, ensures that virtually any carrier can access Northstar's VoIP network.
