MWC: The Suesome Twosome
Oh, that's right, it wasn't very long ago. Nonethless, with the trade battle behind them, Nokia and Qualcomm have now teamed up to make UMTS devices based on the Snapdragon chipset for the North American market.
Things started thawing between the two when Nokia and Qualcomm ended their patent dispute last July. Nokia has been struggling to reenter the North American market for a couple of years now. (See More Nokia vs Qualcomm.) The pair will optimize the UMTS chipset to run Nokia's S60 operating system. They expect to have devices out in mid-2010.
