MWC 2011: Barcelona Pix'n'Mix

11:15 AM -- BARCELONA -- Mobile World Congress 2011 -- The arrival of another huge wireless show in Barcelona had some wizened attendees thinking only of survival. But, for Light Reading TV Production Director Heather Stanic and I, both MWC newbies, it had us breaking out the guidebooks, brushing up on our Spanglish and plotting ways to see as much of the city as we could in our time there.

We were also really excited to cover Mobile World Congress too, of course...

Click on the slide show below to see what happens when you give two first-timers some Euros, a Metro pass and the weekend off.

Show's Over

And, be sure to check out our Mobile World Congress show site, for the full coverage -- videos, news, analysis and coffee reports -- from the show floor.

MWC rookie note: Make sure you get the expense report approved BEFORE you file the "look how much fun I had" slideshow. Just sayin'.

Note of clarification: This trip was all done on our own dime (Euro coin?), and those Pringles definitely are not from the hotel minibar...

Well, I have to be diligent. It was on my watch, unfortunately, that a keg stand slipped in as office equipment. I've said too much...

I confirm that those Pringles were not from the mini bar.  Paid out of pocket and worth every euro!

I'm glad someone managed to see Barcelona beyond the Fira!
