PARIS and MILAN -- Netcentrex (www.netcentrex.net), the world’s leading provider of converged services for voice-video-data networks and next generation services, announced today that Movytel, an IP telecommunications services provider, has chosen the Netcentrex IPCentrex TM solution to deploy professional VoIP services in Italy.

Customized services, remote user management, centralized maintenance management and device updating features were key factors in favour of the Netcentrex IPCentrex platform.

“We’re oriented toward a type of customer for whom it is essential we offer value added services,” explained Movytel operations director Maurizio Vigan ò . In a VoIP market where prices are bottoming out compared to traditional telephony providers, we decided to provide a solution that makes functional processes more efficient, and a technology that transforms the classic telephone into an intelligent device.”

Movytel’s primary objective is to simplify VoIP implementation in the customer’s organization so that the customer does not need to completely replace their existing telephony systems.

This approach enables SMEs to continue using their existing switchboard if they are satisfied with its performance, while at the same time greatly reducing their phone bills. Alternatively, they can replace their old phones with phones that do not require a switchboard, since in this case each device can perform the function that used to be the province of bulky, complex equipment.

Movytel product manager Marcello Degasperi believes the days of the classic telephone are numbered: “VoIP telephony systems will inevitably replace current telephony systems because they offer more functions and are easier to install. We also ensure a smooth this transition with hybrid solutions which allow customers to continue using familiar systems while at the same time introducing new technologies.”
