CHICAGO & LISLE, Ill. -- Molex Incorporated, (NASDAQ: MOLX and MOLXA), a global electronic components company, and iTRACS Corporation, the leader in intelligent IT infrastructure management, today announced a technology partnership to develop a real-time physical layer management solution. The new product, to be branded RealTime, will enable companies to significantly improve network infrastructure service levels, asset utilization, and security, while reducing IT management costs. RealTime will combine iTRACS' infrastructure management technologies with the structured cabling products of Molex Premise Networks, a subsidiary of Molex Incorporated. Together, the two companies intend to provide IT managers with a complete, best-of-breed, managed infrastructure solution. RealTime's monitoring capabilities will help administrators manage and maintain the physical layer and connected assets with less direct contact, allowing IT personnel to attend to other critical duties while also improving overall system performance. "Molex's endorsement confirms iTRACS' position as the leading technology provider in the network infrastructure management industry," said Tom Reedy, president and chief executive officer of iTRACS corporation. "This partnership integrates two complementary technologies, enabling customers to receive the best of both worlds. RealTime will solve critical business issues related to the physical IT infrastructure such as network downtime. The solution will help corporations increase service levels, reduce risks, and potentially save millions of dollars each year in lost productivity." Molex Inc. iTracs Corp.
