SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced that Millennium Digital Media (MDM), a cable television multiple system operator (MSO) with more than 130,000 customers, has chosen to replace its legacy routers with Juniper Networks M10i edge routing platforms to improve network reliability and performance.

'MDM is committed to delivering best-in-class broadband and internet services to our customers, but our existing routers were reaching the limits of their capabilities,' said John Brooks, MDM's COO. 'The Juniper Networks solution will enable us to deliver an increased range of advanced services with the assured quality and reliability MDM customers expect, while providing the scalability we require to support future growth.'

MDM provides broadband services such as analog and digital cable television, high-speed Internet access, and other telecommunications services to customers throughout Maryland, Washington, Oregon and Michigan.

Juniper Networks M10i multiservice edge routers utilize a high performance hardware-based architecture and the JUNOS operating system, a proven carrier class operating system. This ensures rich packet processing with uncompromising forwarding performance to support latency sensitive applications such as voice, video, and mission critical applications.

'Millennium Digital Media's commitment to excellence requires their network infrastructure to perform with the highest levels of security and performance assurance,' said Andrew J. Audet, vice president, Cable Products Business, Juniper Networks. 'Juniper Networks delivered a solution that met their stringent performance and reliability requirements, while providing the scalability and advanced capabilities to grow their network and expand their service offerings in the future.'
