CHICAGO -- MERA Systems, a leading vendor of carrier-grade VoIP solutions, announced at SuperComm 2004 that Maximus Telecom, a Quebec-based wholesaler, has deployed MERA’s MVTS session controller for enhanced voice services in the region. Following successful deployment of the MVTS in its own network, Maximus Telecom will resell MERA’s products in the North American continent.

Maximus Telecom is a Canada-based carrier that offers call termination services to retail service providers. Maximus Telecom has deployed the MVTS session controller for efficient management of network resources and seamless interconnection with a variety of customer enterprises. Maximus has selected the MVTS for its advanced RADIUS-based routing capabilities, interworking functionality and support for both SIP and H.323.

“With its extensive interoperability list, MERA’s MVTS provides for fast interconnection with our customers and co-providers, and enables us to interwork equally well with both SIP and H.323-based networks,” says Carmelo Cerrellli, President, Maximus Telecom. “We believe that MERA Systems develops market-best VoIP solutions for carriers and service providers of any type, from wholesalers and retailers to calling card businesses. Therefore we do not only use MERA’s solutions on our own network, but recommend and resell them throughout the country and beyond.”
