New on the site today are two especially interesting items. First, we have Lucent's CEO, Pat Russo, accepting the Leading Lights Award for Industry Statesman, Public Company, last week, as filmed by LRTV.

Second, we've got a poll that attempts to find out what incumbent telephone companies should do now that Google, Microsoft, eBay, and others are offering communications services.

I thought you guys loved it! What about global carrier adoption of a mechanism for standardizing service delivery and billing of a service as ubiquitous as the internet offerings (i..e Skype) but with the legacy & mobile tie-ins. (Unless you are lumping that under GÇ£Combine with other telcos to control a bigger geographyGÇ¥)
