Lightie Highlights

2:00 PM -- Pat Russo speaks!

New on the site today are two especially interesting items. First, we have Lucent's CEO, Pat Russo, accepting the Leading Lights Award for Industry Statesman, Public Company, last week, as filmed by LRTV.

Watch the video by clicking here.

Second, we've got a poll that attempts to find out what incumbent telephone companies should do now that Google, Microsoft, eBay, and others are offering communications services.

Should they lower prices? Or just give up the ghost and focus on something else?

Take the poll, and find out what everyone else is thinking.

(Unless you are lumping that under GǣCombine with other telcos to control a bigger geographyGǥ)
