LG Electronics ships Mindspeed's OC-12 ATM Shaper in its MSR40 multiservice switch

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Mindspeed Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:MSPD), a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications, today announced that LG Electronics Inc. is shipping Mindspeed's OC-12 ATM Shaper in its MSR40 multi-service switch.

The LG Electronics MSR40 multi-service asynchronous transfer mode/multi-protocol label switching (ATM/MPLS) switch offers superior ATM layer traffic management capabilities that provide Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees. The MSR40 also offers ATM switching signaling and multi-function switch and router support. The switch passed the Korea Telecom Benchmark Test and won the LG corporate "Golden Design" recognition award for best new equipment design.
