GENEVA -- The Internet Protocol Detail Record Organization (IPDR.org) announced today that Charter Member ACE*COMM Corporation (NASDAQ: ACEC) is presenting on its behalf to the International Telecommunications Union (www.ITU.int). The presentation is focussed to enable ITU experts to apply the Network Data Management-Usage (NDM-U) technology to the tariffing of next-generation services. The ITU, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, is an international organization within the United Nations System (www.unsystem.org) where governments and the private sector coordinate for the development of global telecom networks and services. As an increasing number of operators re-orient their business plans to include Internet Protocol (IP) networks, ITU's work program is encompassing developments in IP-based systems. This presentation takes place at the ITU headquarters in Geneva, as part of the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Study Group 3 plenary meetings on tariff and accounting principles, including related telecommunication economic and policy issues. ITU-T embodies the ITU's longest-running responsibility - developing internationally agreed upon technical and operating standards, and defining tariff and accounting principles for international telecommunication services. Representatives from 60 countries are expected to attend. ACE*COMM's CEO, George Jimenez, will present on the effectiveness of the IPDR standards for processing and settling usage of next-generation IP-based services. "The telecommunications market landscape is rapidly changing from both market-centered and technological perspectives," said Mr. Jimenez. "The delivery of rapid and cost-effective value-added services is a key concern for today's service providers. In many ways, the technology to deliver these services - VoIP, content, Internet, wireless - has developed at a far greater pace than the ability to measure and bill for their usage. Through the use of the IPDR NDM-U, service providers can meet their unique requirements for cross-carrier network management, billing, and service level agreement (SLA) enforcement." Ace-Comm Corp.
