ISP's IPv6 Beef

9:40 AM -- This could be an interesting ongoing debate. A British ISP called Andrews & Arnold Ltd. (better known as AAISP) is unhappy that BT Group plc (NYSE: BT; London: BTA) isn't supporting IPv6 on its 21CN broadband platform.

Check out AAISP's beef by reading its status update and then this thread at Slashdot, which highlights the differing views on IPV6's importance.

Clearly AAISP cares about IPV6, as do some technically minded folk, but is it an issue that's high on many people's care lists? Check out this blog by my colleague Craig Matsumoto from a few weeks back. (See IPv6, Anyone?.)

All thoughts on the IPV6 issue welcomed on the message boards or by carrier pigeon, if you're a big fan of 19th-century communications modes.

While we're mentioning AAISP, it's also one of the service providers that had some issues a few weeks back when BT suffered some wholesale broadband issues. Check out this blog at ITPRO.
