SAN JOSE, Calif. -- IP Infusion, a leading provider of intelligent network software for enhanced IP services, and SSH Communications Security, a world-leading developer of managed security middleware, today announced a technology agreement to provide customers with an interoperable scalable carrier-class routing and security solution. This solution includes IP Infusion’s ZebOS® Advanced Routing Suite and SSH’s award-winning IPSec (Internet Protocol Security) technology, SSH QuickSec™ Toolkit for Access Networks. IP Infusion and SSH also announced today that Furukawa Electric has selected the joint solution for its FITELnet family of metro and customer edge routers.

IP Infusion and SSH provide best-of-breed routing and IPSec VPN and firewall solutions that allow equipment vendors to accelerate the time-to-market and reduce the development and production costs of new communications devices. IP Infusion’s ZebOS® Advanced Routing Suite (SRS) provides scalable, carrier-class routing software with robust management capabilities including an industry-standard CLI. The SSH QuickSec Toolkit for Access Networks offers full PKI functionality and IPSec VPN encryption with IKE key authentication in a small memory footprint.

Furukawa has integrated the IP Infusion and SSH software into the FITELnet G-Series Gigabit routers, the FITELnet B-Series Customer Edge (CE) routers, the FITELnet F-Series VPN routers, and the FITELnet R10 route reflector. Designed to deliver the breadth of features, performance and reliability that today's networks require, the FITELnet family of routers provides a wide range of IPv4 and IPv6 routing, MPLS, and IPSec VPN capabilities. By integrating ZebOS BGP and MPLS-VPN technology, the FITELnet G-Series Gigabit routers enable service providers to extend MPLS-VPN services to the metro edge. The SSH QuickSec Toolkit for Access Networks software package provides the underlying IPSec VPN architecture to secure Furukawa’s FITELnet F-Series VPN routers.
