LONDON and AMSTERDAM -- WE, the international fashion retail chain, has selected Interoute to deliver strategic network services throughout Europe. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Interoute’s pan-European communications network will connect WE’s headquarters and 232 stores across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland.

With critical business applications running across an Interoute-provided IP-VPN, WE’s employees throughout Europe can directly access and retrieve information to keep fully up-to-date with the company’s latest developments and services. Interoute’s fully-owned and managed pan-European (MPLS) network ensures critical business information can be exchanged safely, efficiently and quickly without the risk of disruptions to the network.

An important part of WE’s new IT network infrastructure is to optimise the international integration of a new cash register system. This system, which holds critical stock information, will be connected to the IP-VPN so that WE can check stocks centrally and in real-time, enabling stock management across stores to be streamlined. WE will also use the network to centralise its complex in-store human resource management system.
