COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Intelliden Corporation today announced its public entry into the element management software space, unveiling a high-caliber management team, powerful investors and patent-pending software. Intelliden is launching the industry's first element management software suite that is designed to help companies address the network infrastructure crisis stemming from the daily manual configuration of millions of network devices one at a time. The company includes industry veterans including board members Gerald H. Taylor, former chief executive officer of MCI Telecommunications, and Steven Haley, former founding officer of Juniper Networks, as well as Chief Strategy Officer John Strassner, who is a former Cisco Fellow and inventor of Directory Enabled Networks."Intelliden is enhancing the way companies manage their networks-automating an existing error-prone and manual process that requires millions of routers and switches to be configured and managed literally by hand," said Dale Hecht, president and chief executive officer of Intelliden. "The current manual configuration process results in higher operational costs, lower network optimization and significant revenue loss. Intelliden solves this problem."Intelliden has worked in "stealth mode" for the last two years to develop software that enables service providers and enterprises to reliably and profitably configure and control today's increasingly complex business-driven data networks. The Intelliden R-Series™ software suite increases operational efficiency and network optimization for enterprise and service provider networks while allowing them to support new Internet Protocol (IP) services faster. In a separate release:Intelliden Corporation, which enables service providers and enterprises to reliably and profitably configure and control today's business-driven data networks, announced today that Steven Haley, former founding executive officer and vice president of Worldwide Sales and Service at Juniper Networks, has joined the Intelliden board of directors."Intelliden is solving a very important networking issue; namely the heterogeneous device management of routers and LAN switches," said Haley. "Their software enables service providers and enterprises to increase their operational efficiency and improve their network optimization from a dynamic unified control plane. I'm excited to be working with the rest of the board and management team as we move forward."Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Haley was vice president, Worldwide Sales, Telco/Service Providers and vice president, Sales for WAN Products at Cisco Systems. Prior to Cisco, Haley spent nearly seven years in managing director, general manager and vice president roles with StrataCom, Inc. (acquired by Cisco). From 1977 through 1989, Haley also held senior management roles in marketing and sales with Bytex, Prime Computer, and Data General. Haley holds a BS degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. In a separate release:Intelliden Corporation, which enables service providers and enterprises to reliably and profitably configure and control today's business-driven data networks, announced today that Gerald H. "Two years ago, we provided their seed financing. Intelliden has an experienced management team, big market opportunity and a much-needed product with clear customer benefits.
