Sprint wins data and security services deal with medical imaging archive provider, takes top honors for services in survey of channel partners

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. and WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- InSiteOne, Inc., the nation's leading provider of medical imaging archiving, today signed a three-year, multimillion-dollar agreement with Sprint (NYSE: FON - News, PCS - News) to provide InSiteOne with an array of new communications technologies and services. The agreement provides services to enhance InSiteOne's medical imaging archiving service in the areas of communications throughput, bandwidth availability, managed security and governmental compliance."This is a significant partnership for InSiteOne as we continue to forge relationships with technology and healthcare supplier organizations throughout the United States," said David S. "We built our company on the principles of performance, security and cost- effectiveness, and the Sprint services we will be utilizing will re-affirm and expand those tenets. With Sprint's assistance, the InSiteOne pay-as-you-go model will enable us to provide a single point of service for medical imaging archiving and distribution, allowing our clients to improve operational efficiencies and provide better service to patients."InSiteOne has contracted with Sprint for its own end-to-end bandwidth requirements, while also enabling InSiteOne to offer its clients the option of fully managed and guaranteed network-based VPN (virtual private network) Internet links to transmit their data. Through the agreement, Sprint also will provide InSiteOne with collocation services for its Web distribution servers in Sprint E|Solutions Centers and will utilize Sprint personnel to deploy its InDex(TM) Archiving solution in the field. To increase the security of InSiteOne's archived data, Sprint also will offer its Intrusion Detection Service and will provide audit and verification of data security procedures and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance. In a separate release: OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Sprint (NYSE: FON - News, PCS - News) announced today that it won the IP and data services category in this year's VARBusiness Annual Report Card (ARC), sweeping all subcategories including partnership, support, product innovation and loyalty. The VARBusiness ARC, now in its 17th year, is the premier gauge of partner satisfaction. This year over 5,000 channel partners were surveyed, evaluating 70 leading vendors across 15 product categories. Channel partners were asked to rate their satisfaction with vendor products, support services and partnering activities. Partners were also asked to assess their loyalty to vendors, a new and important element to this year's survey methodology.
