FREMONT, Calif. -- Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6 Internet backbone and leading colocation provider, today announced enhancements to its BGP toolkit, which can aid in the analysis, debugging and reverse engineering of Internet routes and peering relationships.

The site, designed for use by peering coordinators and routing engineers, features intuitive route graphs that show to whom Autonomous Systems are connected and how routes propagate. Peering relationships can be investigated to determine how routes are swapped and how transits are handling particular routes.

“This BGP toolkit is unique because leverages an intuitive interface to present information from multiple vantage points on the Internet,” said Martin Levy, Hurricane Electric’s Director of IPv6 Strategy. “The site is based on in-house code that we have been using to debug problems for over two years, and we wanted to make it available to the public for free. It’s a very cool resource that gives an excellent user experience.”
