Huawei Technologies has won the bid of Telemar's IP backbone network project in Brazil

SHENZHEN, China -- Huawei Technologies, a global telecoms equipment and solutions provider, today announced that it has won the bid of Telemarfs IP backbone network project in Brazil. This project will build up the national IP backbone network of Telemar, the largest fixed network carrier in Brazil. The purpose of this project is to build up Telemarfs Next Generation IP backbone network and to bear various corporate customers. To meet the strict requirements of Telemar, Huawei provides its 5th Generation Routers NE40, NE16 and AR Series routers, S6506 LAN switches to help them design a data communications network with high-performance and reliability. This network is the second future-oriented advanced network of Telemar which will perfectly meet the requirement of fast service increase in the future and the equipment will be deployed in all the major cities of Brazil.

The winning of this project has made Huawei the most important data communications equipment provider for Telemar. Huawei and Telemar together stride a firm step to push the coming of the digital era. And it is also a demonstration and a driving force to show the way of network migration in the industry.
