12:35 PM -- Unstrung understands that Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and Telsima Corp. have won the mobile WiMax contracts at India's state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) .

The operator is expected to announce the winners later this week, and local reports -- including this one in the Business Standard -- say that BSNL's vendor shortlist for the $750 million WiMax project comprises Alvarion Technologies Ltd. A win for Telsima would be good news for the WiMax vendor's new owner, Harris Stratex Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: HSTX). (See Harris Stratex Snaps Up Telsima for $12M.)
