Gloves Don't Work
4:30 PM -- One thing about living here in the frozen Northeast is that when the weather comes in you really need a hat, scarf, and gloves on at all times when outdoors. This, however, as my friend Gina pointed out, makes your fancy new touch-screen phone much less of a mobile wonder, because you really need to be a warm place (a.k.a. indoors) to use it properly unless you want to freeze your thumbs off. Try it yourself -- I find navigating a touch-screen with gloves on almost impossible.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if at this very moment Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) is working to bring back a fashion abomination of the 1980s -- fingerless gloves. Can't you see it now? Impress all your friends and keep surfin' on your iPhone in your stylin' off-white $50 iGloves. I'd say that's a surefire stocking stuffer.
