HILLERØD, Denmark -- FOSS has chosen Nokia to protect the transmission of sensitive data over its network, using 20 Nokia IP network security appliances running the best of breed VPN-1®/FireWall-1® software from CheckPoint Software Technologies (NASDAQ : CHKP). FOSS provides and supports dedicated, rapid and accurate analytical solutions for some of the world's leading agricultural, food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. As a globally operating company, FOSS required secure and reliablecommunications to serve the needs of each market. With increasing market share, FOSS' network demands have grown in response to the increasing number of users who require constant mission-critical secured data across time zones. It therefore approached Nokia reseller, Network Consult A/S, Denmark to deliver Nokia Internet Communications' world-class scalable IP network security solutions.Arne Maagaard, FOSS Group IT manager, says, "There are approximately 1,100 people at our company and any one of them have access to the Virtual Private Network (VPN) we have created. We had no previous VPN, and this is our first global network. Previously, individual offices arranged their own individual solutions but were not linked and had no real security."Nokia Corp.
