Feathers Ruffled at Orange

We can't wait to hear the full explanation for this one...

Only days after Hutchison 3G UK Ltd. made itself look like a right plank with its branding waffle (see Copywriters on Acid), news has leaked out of Orange UK (London: OGE) that it will launch a color-screen handset on October 22 that uses the Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) SmartPhone 2002 operating system. Orange is a bit peeved and won't comment.

The best bit, though, is that the codename for the new phone is "Canary," according to Reuters. Maybe it will only be available in lime green and yellow.

Oh boy, we hope that name makes it through to the commercial launch. That would be a real tweet (Geddit?!).

Please yourselves.

re: Feathers Ruffled at Orange Canary, in a mine, geddit?

I didn't know canaries came in lime yellow, BTW.
