has been appointed non-executive chairman at Terahertz Photonics Ltd, a
high-tech optical components specialist, headquartered in Scotland.
He joins the board at Terahertz to advise on how to maximise the potential
of their proprietary technologies, and help guide the company's development
as a global telecoms enabler in the optical sector.
Prior to his role at Alcatel, Pearse was CEO at Newbridge Networks

his first start-up company, which has subsequently been acquired by the
NASDAQ quoted SDLI.
Ian Muirhead, CEO at Terahertz said: "We already have a strong management
team in place, in addition to the right technologies and research
developments, but having Pearse and Mike on board will give us the extra
strength to grow our presence in the optical sector and compete on a global
basis."
