LONDON -- CSG Systems (Nasdaq: CSGS - News), a global provider of customer care and billing solutions, today announced that Euskaltel, the leading communications operator in Spain's Basque Region has signed an agreement to expand its use of CSG's Kenan/BP billing solution in order to accommodate the needs of its growing subscriber base.

Under the terms of the agreement, Euskaltel will have the flexibility to support the unique billing and customer care needs of its 600,000 business and residential customers, with its fixed and mobile communications, internet access and cable television. Euskaltel has been a long standing CSG customer since 1998, when it first selected Kenan/BP as its billing system of choice. This new agreement will enable it to further build upon its initial investment, significantly lowering its Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

In addition, Euskaltel can continue to differentiate itself with the ability to deliver all services with a single bill for its growing subscriber base. This holistic customer view enables it to consistently deliver high- quality service and deploy innovative marketing programs and bundled offers across all of its subscribers.

CSG Kenan/BP is a real time billing platform that can rate and bill for any transaction-based service in the next generation mobile and wireline telephony, cable/satellite and IP markets. With a worldwide customer base in more than 40 countries, the CSG Kenan/BP solution supports any language and any currency enabling operators to regionalised and tailor their billing requirements to support the individual needs of their customers.

"By expanding our use of the Kenan/BP billing solution we are confident that we can continue to exceed our customers' billing and customer care requirements now and in the future," said Manuel Arco, Chief Information Officer, Euskaltel. "Kenan/BP has provided us with a vital business tool with which to lower TCO and continue to achieve efficient operations in our competitive marketplace. The increased role of Kenan/BP in our business will enable us to maintain our competitive edge, enhancing customer loyalty as well as deliver even more new and innovative communications technologies."

"We are proud to be continuing and extending our work with Euskaltel," said Chris McGrady, acting Managing Director, CSG Systems' Europe, Middle East and Africa region. "This is a very exciting time for Euskaltel as it increases its market share within the Basque Region. With operators facing fierce competition within the marketplace, it is crucial that they equip themselves with solutions that will help attract and deliver new convergent services to subscribers."
