Euro iPhone Fever

9:30 AM -- The wait is over. Following September's announcements about which operators would be able to sell the iPhone in Europe, the device finally hit the European shops today. (See iPhone Invades UK, iPhone UK Launch: Jobs Has 'Upset Girlfriends', iPhone Goes to Germany, and iPhone Déjà Vu.)

That means, of course, that a small percentage of Euro gadget freaks are prepared to brave the elements to be first in line to hand over hundreds of euros/pounds -- and that's before the monthly service costs.

Here are a few reports about people queueing in the rain, camping overnight in shop doorways, etc.
