The invention relates to methods and devices for managing data chunks, especially in a multi-port aggregation devices , which dramatically decrease the logic needed for multiple ports Ethernet/IP aggregation implementation in FPGA or ASIC. The patent also applies to the support of any other multiple port design including ATM, PPP, or TDM.
