Verizon Biz launches managed LAN service

10:00 AM -- BT Group plc (NYSE: BT; London: BTA) has a new competitor on the managed local area network (LAN) services scene. Verizon Enterprise Solutions today launched a new managed LAN service targeting businesses in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia/Pacific, and the U.S. (See VZB Manages LANs.)

Verizon Business wants large multinationals to outsource the management of their corporate nets to it.
