NEW YORK -- Telx®, a leading interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, today announced the deployment of its award-winning Ethernet Exchange service at its data centers in Clifton, New Jersey, and Dallas, Texas. The Telx Ethernet Exchange enables service providers, enterprises and cloud/SaaS providers to leverage an industry-leading marketplace to improve Ethernet communications and scale service delivery, while reducing the cost and complexity associated with adding new customers in geographically underserved areas.

The carrier-neutral Ethernet Exchange provides a more efficient and simplified method for enterprises, service providers, cloud providers and ISPs to virtually interconnect on a one-to-many basis. The deployment of Ethernet Exchange service at Telx’s recently expanded data centers in Clifton and Dallas gives customers at these locations more choices in connectivity and bandwidth, and opens up new business opportunities with other Exchange members through the Ethernet Exchange Customer Web Portal.

“This next phase of our strategic service deployment is a win-win for our customers,” said Chris Eldredge, senior executive responsible for Ethernet Exchange and Product Management at Telx. “Telx customers in Clifton and Dallas now have the opportunity to colocate their equipment in state-of-the-art data center environments while using our powerful Ethernet Exchange to easily turn up connectivity through direct access to carriers and service providers in other locations, as well as to grow their business ecosystem.”
