Exponential-e Intros Financial SCP

LONDON -- Exponential-e, the specialist provider of fully managed end to end Ethernet solutions for the corporate market, has today launched a private network for the financial community which delivers fixed price, direct access into a number of leading financial exchanges, reducing the time it takes to send and receive market data. The network also provides access to high performance iSCSI storage systems which help companies meet the increasingly complex data storage compliance laws and regulations relating to the storage and management of information.

The network, called the Financial Service Creation Platform (Financial SCP) gives enterprises secure, affordable and resilient access into a number of exchanges including: the Chicago Board of Trade, Chicago Board Options Exchange and the Securities Industry Corporation (SIAC), the communications network that powers the New York Stock Exchange and American Stock Exchange. The Deutsche Boerse, Germany’s number one financial exchange, is also on.net.

Utilising the same circuit, companies also access the ‘on.net’ iSCSI storage systems, which deliver the resilient, high capacity needed to meet compliance issues, without the cost implications of fibre channels. Running on IP Protocol, it gives companies the flexibility to increase their storage capacity as and when it is needed.

“In the finance sector speed and reliability are everything. The Financial SCP delivers on this, plus it helps companies meet the growing data compliance rules”, commented Harvey Jones, marketing director, Exponential-e.
