Adam Sawicki moves on after three-year stint at Central European operator to make way for new CEO

WARSAW -- Adam Sawicki leaves GTS Central EuropeWarsaw, January 28, 2011 – Today, as the GTS Group enters its next phase ofdevelopment, the three-year cooperation of Adam Sawicki and GTS CentralEurope has reached a conclusion. Adam Sawicki has been responsible for leadingGTS CE through a critical phase of development which included the introductionof a cohesive Central and Eastern European (CEE) regional strategy and arefocusing of the company towards B2B sector. This has been a groundbreakingstage for the GTS Group in many respects. The position of the CEO of the Groupwill be taken over by Danny Bottoms.

During Adam Sawicki’s tenure as CEO, the GTS Group which spans Central and EasternEurope (CEE) has significantly increased its operational range through both increasedefficiencies of particular business units and well-planned acquisitions. Years 2008-2009were used for restructuring and reorganization of the operator. In 2010, GTS Groupconducted three successful acquisitions in the region, strengthening thereby its position asa leader. Year 2011 began with another purchase and creation of a new independentcompany within the GTS Group, CE Colo. CE Colo is first data center company spanning theCEE region.

The position of the CEO will be taken over by Danny Bottoms, who joins GTS Group fromCavalier Telephone Corporation, a competitive carrier operating in the eastern USA. AsPresident & CEO, he led the company for over two years prior to its acquisition by PAETECin 2010. Before Cavalier, Danny was COO of Showtime Arabia, a pay TV company servingthe MENA region from Dubai. He was President & CEO of OnFiber Communications for over5 years before the company was acquired by Qwest Communications. With 20 years in thetelecommunications and media industries, Danny has also worked in managementpositions with MasTec, Qwest, and MCI. He holds a Bachelors of Science in ChemicalEngineering from the University of Iowa in the USA.
