IRVINE, Calif. -- Telmar Network Technology, Inc. (Booth 3243), a leading global resource for new and reuse equipment; manufactured products; plus asset management, repair and professional services, announced plans to showcase its 8 port FastE card for use in the 1603 SMX platform at NXTComm 2007. The FastE Card offers the functionality needed to seamlessly integrate Ethernet capable devices using existing 1603 SMX topology.

Telmar has completed the initial development stages for this product enhancement, and is now accepting first office application orders. Once in place, communication network providers will be able to tariff Ethernet services to their customers for transport over the providers’ existing SONET systems — generating additional revenue streams. Development is continuing on the 2 port GigE card, with Beta testing expected to begin 3rd Quarter 2007.

“The FastE card will enable our customers to provide Ethernet traffic while reducing TDM traffic demand using their existing 1603 SMX systems,” said John Kidwell, Chief Executive Officer for Telmar Network Technology. “The development of both the FastE and GigE cards demonstrate Telmar’s ongoing commitment to consistently deliver cost-effective legacy support and manufacturing services that help our customers maintain and grow their existing network infrastructure.”
