NEW YORK -- Accedian Networks announced today that it has entered into an agreement under which JDSU’s Communications Test and Measurement group will distribute Accedian Networks EtherNID™ products on a global basis.

The Accedian EtherNID™ extends JDSU’s Metro Ethernet testing capabilities to the customer premises by creating a demarcation point up to which Ethernet service performance parameters can be verified and assured.

By interoperating seamlessly with JDSU’s Metro Ethernet testing portfolio, the Accedian EtherNID™ allows cutting by up to half the OPEX and CAPEX associated with the turn-up and troubleshooting of Ethernet Services while assuring the delivery of value-added SLA parameters such as latency, jitter and packet loss.

“This agreement instantly provides our products with access to a worldwide distribution footprint,” said Patrick Ostiguy, CEO of Accedian Networks. “We are extremely excited about the opportunity to work with this global leader in communications test & measurement.”

“Accedian’s best-of-breed Ethernet Demarcation Devices extends JDSU’s Metro Ethernet service assurance solution, the most complete in the industry,” said Paul Antolli, general manager of Complementary Product Organisation in JDSU’s Test and Measurement group. “We are delighted about this addition to our solutions portfolio, which strengthens our ability to support the reliable deployment of Ethernet networks and IP-based broadband service delivery.”

Accedian Networks (booth #235) and JDSU (booth #231) will both be exhibiting their solutions as part of LightReading’s Ethernet-EXPO, New-York Hilton, October 23-24, 2006.
