4G access and networking vendor Aethera Networks appoints former Avantas founder Sami Yazdi as new president and CEO

MONTREAL -- Aethera Networks™, a globally focused company delivering 4th Generation (4G) solutions in the multi-service access and metro networking markets, announced today that Mr. Sami Yazdi has been appointed President and CEO of Aethera Networks™.

Mr. Yazdi brings more than 25 years of industry experience including roles as the co-founder and CEO of Avantas Networks (sold to EXFO in 2001), and co-founder of Positron Fiber Systems (sold to Reltec in 1998). Previously, Sami held a variety of senior roles at Nortel Networks that spanned R&D, Product Management, and Operations.
