LONDON -- Easynet, the pan-European Broadband provider for business, today launched MPLS IP Anywhere, the most comprehensive IP VPN solution available in the UK today. MPLS IP Anywhere is designed for companies who wish to connect a number of remote workers, branch offices or sites to the head office corporate network with the maximum amount of flexibility and minimum cost. MPLS IP Anywhere is truly access agnostic, meaning that simple dial up, broadband or high bandwidth leased lines can be used as the access tail circuit, allowing the costs and benefits of each to be balanced against the business requirements. Providing fully managed private IP networking over Easynet's extensive owned 4,450km MPLS/DWDM national network, there is no upper limit on the number of sites or capacity available. As the intelligence resides in the MPLS network core, there is no need for any expensive VPN appliances to be located on the customer premises, saving both cost and management overhead. By utilising the country's largest LLU broadband footprint, the core network can be accessed by unique easynet broadband products, offering both SDSL and ADSL connections up to 8Mbps, and also the new easynet SureStream leased line product at half the cost of traditional BT leased lines. MPLS IP Anywhere provides ubiquitous reach across the UK wherever and whatever the need, and offers higher bandwidths and costs that are a fraction of a dedicated ATM or Frame Relay network. The service offers truly transparent access to the corporate LAN network, enabling mobile, home-working, SoHo and branch-based staff access to high-quality interoffice networking. Finally, to ensure peace of mind, the service is offered with industry-leading Service Level Guarantees offering a true and measurable guarantee of the availability of the connections, whilst also ensuring that the guarantees are also flexible and scalable on a per site basis. "This is a significant milestone for easynet, its customers and the industry as a whole," explains David Rowe, CEO of easynet. "The size and capacity of the easynet network and the fact that this solution doesn't rely on a single access technology, places MPLS IP Anywhere in its own unique category in the UK market." Commenting on the support issues, David explained "Managed MPLS IP Anywhere enables remote users to feel as if they are connected directly to the main office LAN, without any of the support issues that traditional device or software based VPNs have, and the IT manager has cast iron service level guarantees that he/she is able to rely on to ensure that the users are happy."
