LEXINGTON, Mass. -- Arbor Networks, a leader in network integrity systems, today announced that EarthLink (NASDAQ: ELNK), a leading national Internet Service Provider, has chosen Arbor's Peakflow SP to analyze its transit, peering, and internal traffic. EarthLink will use Peakflow SP for capacity planning on its nationwide network to make intelligent peering decisions, which can reduce operating costs.

Peakflow SP's ability to provide traffic analysis will help EarthLink track data levels between EarthLink's points of presence (POPs). The traffic reports also will help EarthLink with its capacity planning, allowing EarthLink to better understand where traffic is destined, and enabling traffic engineers to make smart peering decisions that can reduce operating costs.

"At EarthLink, we are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service, innovative dial-up and high-speed services to our customers," said Greg Collins, director of network engineering and operations, EarthLink. "By using Peakflow SP, we are able to expand our traffic monitoring and planning analysis, which will ultimately mean better service for our customers."
