LAS VEGAS -- Dorado Software, Inc., a provider of network infrastructure management software, announced today at Networld Interop the launch of its Redcell(TM) Virtual Local Area Network Service Center (VLAN SC). Redcell VLAN SC is an integrated software solution that provides network administrators in medium-to-large enterprises and metro Ethernet service providers the ability to quickly and easily create, deploy and manage port-based VLANs across multi-vendor backbones. The Redcell VLAN SC solution is available for demonstration in Networld Interop Booth #2746. Redcell VLAN SC increases revenues and decreases operational costs by enabling network administrators to manage all network resources through a single application -- reducing the time required to add/change/delete ports to VLANs by eliminating the needs to physically login to each network device, understand vendor-specific configuration instructions, and attempt to accurately track/manage all changes. VLAN SC virtually eliminates all provisioning errors. "With the implementation of Dorado's Redcell VLAN Service Center, service providers and enterprises -- for the first time -- have an automated and flow-through service provisioning and activation system for VLAN through Ethernet networks," said Tim Sebring, president and CEO of Dorado Software. "Our customers will now be able to quickly and easily create, deploy, monitor and manage VLANs across heterogeneous networks, using one integrated management tool. What can typically take hours or even days for network engineers to provision manually can now be achieved by network administrators reliably in minutes using our VLAN Service Center."
