CTIA: Nokia's E Stands for Euro

Dan Jones

10:15 AM -- ORLANDO, Fla. -- Sure enough, Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) is showing off new-ish E-Series enterprise smartphones -- the E90 Communicator and E65, in fact -- at its booth at this year's CTIA Wireless show. But you can whistle if you want to know when these biz gizmos might arrive in the U.S.

Nokia is already advertising the E65 in Europe. The E90 is the vendor's latest take on its flagship flip-keyboard handset for office jockeys.

Nokia people at the booth said that the E90 would be out in a few months... in Europe. Nobody knew when they would be available in the American market.

To add insult to injury, on this side of the pond, we get the phones like the E62, which comes without the 802.11 and voice-over-WiFi features found in the Euro phones.
