ORLANDO, Fla. -- Cordia Corporation (OTCBB: CORG), a provider of telecommunication and Web services, announced today its plans to deploy a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network during the first half of 2004. Cordia's telecommunications subsidiary, Cordia Communications Corp., currently provides local and long distance services to approximately 10,000 lines on UNE-P in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Cordia CEO, Patrick Freeman, stated, "(w)e are currently evaluating equipment from various vendors and expect to make our final selection during the first quarter of 2004. We are planning on completing our initial deployment by June of 2004. Our VoIP network design focus is on a voice over broadband solution enabling delivery of voice services over any broadband IP connection including third-party DSL, cable modems, T-carrier and wireless circuits.

"Over the next several years, we anticipate that the majority of voice services will be delivered as an application over IP networks," Mr. Freeman continued. "We believe that our experience and capabilities in both telecommunications and Web services will provide us with numerous opportunities in the upcoming migration from circuit switched to IP networks."
