CopperCom Wins at ITS

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- CopperCom today announced ITS Telecommunications Systems, Inc., an independent operating company (IOC) in Indiantown, Florida, will continue its aggressive growth plan by replacing its legacy switching system with a CopperCom Converged Switching eXchange (CSX®) next-generation switch. In addition, ITS will deploy CopperCom’s Switchmaxx Unified Self-Care™ Web portal and Voicemaxx voicemail solution.

“With the enormous amount of real estate development happening in Indiantown, our most conservative estimates tell us that our subscriber base will triple, if not quadruple, in the next 10 to 12 years,” said Jeff Leslie, GM and CFO, ITS Communications, Inc. “To effectively manage this growth and compete, we needed both a better cost model and the ability to provide next generation-services to our customers. The CSX, combined with Switchmaxx and Voicemaxx, will help us achieve these goals.”

In business for more than 50 years, ITS Telecommunications Services, Inc. provides Internet access and local and long-distance telephone services to some 4,400 subscribers in Florida. Currently, a number of new housing developments are being planned for Indiantown, bringing 5,000 to 6,000 new households to the area. The CSX will enable ITS to deliver a triple play of services – voice, video and data – to its expanding subscriber base, and the Switchmaxx software will allow greater automation and ease of customer sign-up and account self-management.

“The future is certainly bright for ITS given the tremendous anticipated growth in its subscriber base,” said Mel Ethem, vice president of sales, CopperCom. “With the CSX and Switchmaxx, ITS is well-positioned to effectively and profitably manage this quick influx of new customers and continue to provide cutting edge services in the future.”

re: CopperCom Wins at ITS This product is of interest to me. I am curious if the CopperCom Switch is telecordia certified.
